So, I decided to do a little piece in honor of halloween. I made one last year too, and I'll probably do it next year too. I didn't want to make anything cliche this year. I did pumpkins, witches and ghosts oh my last year, and didn't want to repeat myself.
I saw a picture of Emilie Autumn online, she was playing her violin, and her pose was so fantastic I just had to use it. please note the bats on one of the sleeves I painted, the skulls in her hair and the bleeding heart on her corset. All of these are symbols I put in the picture to symbolise halloween.

Life is hard...
Life is hard for someone like me. If I had my way I would be sitting in a nice airy studio all day painting and drawing, but unfortunately it is not so. Like everyone else I am a tiny cog in a giant machine.
Lately it has felt like the little cog that is me is about to fall apart. I'm so tired of worrying about my job, about cooperating with students I don't know or like at school. Iworry about my health, and wether or not I'll keep my grades up. It's just all too much for me. I should probably see a shrink or something, but I'm a little scared of shrinks. I'm a little too proud to really admit to myself that I actually need help too. I've always managed on my own you know.
I feel kind of lost. The only light in my days right now is my beloved other half, he takes care of me when I'm exhausted and he comforts me when I cry. I don't know what I would do without him.
To end this post on a happier note, here is a little personal piece of work I did about a year ago :)

Favorite Fantasy/Sci-fi movies of all times
Ok so I thought I would do a list of all my favorite fantasy and Sci-Fi movies. I used to be the little kid who would borrow her uncle's Star Wars movies and not return them unless I was forced to :P
So this list is a little reminder of the kid I used to be and still am.
1. Lord of the Rings (because there will never be any better)
2. Star wars episode 4, Return of the Jedi
3. Harry Potter (pretty much like all of them as much
4. Stardust ('cus I'm a sucker for romance)
5. Pirates of the Caribbean (prefers the first one to be honest)
6. Dungeons and Dragons (It's so bad it's good)

Comic of the week 2
So this is the second comic strip in a series of 15 strips. Hope you will enjoy it :)
The text is in Norwegian, translated it says:
For hundreds of years people have been trying to see into the future, by crystal ball,
by tarot card,
or by astrology.
Personally I don't need to know the future.
Surprises are always best when you don't see them coming.

Comic assignment
We've just finished our comic assignment. we had to create our own comic, with plot and characters. Minimum 15 strips per person. I chose to make a comic about personal reflections and points of view. I named my comic "Reflect". I have decided to publish one comic strip a day, hopefully I'll have the time to do so.
Comic of the day:

Dracula poster
This was just a mini assignment. sort of a workshop. The entire class had to watch Bram Stokers Dracula, directed by Francis ford Coppola. The movie is made in a very special way. There are no modern special effects in it, which makes it a very unique movie.
We were supposed to take something from this movie that we thought was interesteing and crucial for the story. I chose the portrait of Mina that Dracula found on Jonathan Harkers desk when Jonathan Harker is visiting him in Transylvania.
In the movie Dracula spills ink on the picture and it flows over the picture frame. I decided to spill blood on the frame instead. It just emphasizes that Dracula is a vampire, and a killer. The fangs I put around Mina in the picture frame was put there to symbolize that Mina is kind of a victim of Dracula, as well as being a willing subject.
This was my first attempt at the pictre in acrylic paint on canvas, but our teacher thought that it was to comfortable for me to work with this medium and asked me step outside of my comfort zone.
So I did, and this was the result. It turned out a lot better than I thought it would.

Loot!
Tha super awesome loot bag. This was a present I made for one of our first-year students/victims. She likes videogames and works in a game store. So I figured she would get it if I made her a loot bag. I made the bag itslef from brown felt. I baught some pom poms and sowed them onto som golden string, and finally I glued some gemstones on it just because I like sparkly stuff :P
Project management
These jolly little fellows were made for a presentation. The class had been split into new groups and our assignment was to create an assignment for the first- year illustration students.
In our assignment we told the students that the world had been taken over by plants and fruit. they had finally had enough with human pollution. Plants had started to take control over people's minds by dropping seeds into their stomach. The seed start to grow and soon it grows into your brain and you slowly turn into something quite brain dead.
The plants have also grown wild over the cities.
The students were told that there were only small groups of people left in the world, hiding away in shopping centres and other buildings around the world. Their assignment was to develop a survivla kit, so that humans would be able to survive in an urban jungle, with weapons, camoflage and antidotes.
This i s a small selection of mutated fruit :
Our first years won the contest ^^ *gloates*
Mural assignment
These are some of the finished results for my mural assignment. My group won the project, but we did not use one of my designs. It was fun though, I was project manager and being in charge of getting people together and getting stuff done. I enjoyed it ^^
These were designed to fit in the hallway of a Norwegian internet based school.
